I have just inherited a Tom Forrestall painting from my mother-in-law who used to live in Kentville, NS as an antique dealer about 40 years ago. I am wondering if this work that I have is a print or an original. Did Tom make prints? It is a watercolour of apples lying on the ground with sticks and twigs. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLovely thing to inherit. Couldn't really say without seeing it. Dad made watercolours and prints. Check near the signature, if there is a number such as 42 / 100 then its a print. Look at the surface, one can often tell an original watercolour by the look of the surface texture.
